Wood Furniture
Every piece in our shop is solid hardwood with a finish rubbed in by hand. Browse by room below, or scroll the full collection.
How to choose solid wood furniture that lasts
Start with the wood and the finish, not just the shape. Solid hardwood - walnut, acacia, teak, oak or suar - can be sanded and refreshed for decades, while veneer and MDF cannot. An oil finish soaks into the fibres, so a scratch can be blended out at home with a cloth and a little oil. Every piece here is built to order, and you approve photos of your actual piece before the finish goes on.
What is the difference between solid wood and veneer?
Solid wood is the same timber all the way through. Veneer is a thin slice of wood glued over particle board or MDF. Solid wood can be sanded and re-finished many times; veneer can only be lightly cleaned.
Why choose an oil finish over lacquer?
Lacquer forms a plastic-like film on top of the wood that chips and is hard to repair. Oil soaks into the grain, keeps the natural feel of the surface and can be renewed at home.
How long does a made-to-order piece take?
About 2-3 weeks to build and finish, including your photo approval, then 3-7 business days in transit - roughly 3-4 weeks door to door.
